Since 1963, Mr. Charles Sanders has been shining shoes at Atlanta’s Hartsfield International Airport. He has seen the likes of Dr. Martin Luther King, Hosea Williams, Andrew Young, and many other leaders who have sat in the shining chairs of Master Shine.

For the first time in 17 years, Master Shine has the uncertainty of not knowing if they will continue working in the airport terminals as airport management seeks to bring in large-chain shoeshine companies. Please see the link to understand his situation:

Our goal is to shine some much-deserved attention on Mr. Sanders and the Master Shine team.

Here’s our plan:

To even the competitive field, Mr. Sanders will need greater financial leverage. I am asking everyone who is moved to do so, to sow one shoeshine into his business. Symbolically, that means donating $10 with tip. Please sow into his business and let him know we appreciate his years of hard work!

On 9/10/16 at 11AM we will surprise Mr. Sanders by bringing him to Kupcakerie in his East Point neighborhood for Cupcakes & Champagne!
